Meditative Bondage is not about oppression or misogyny. Meditative Bondage is about providing containment, holding space for your partner and submitting to the moment. But, most of all, Bondage is about transcending the boundaries of the body and freeing the mind. This class will cover safety, basic bondage techniques as well as establishing trust and rapport between both top and bottom. We will also discuss the concepts of Mushin and Wu Wei as they apply to bondage, diaphragmatic breathing and more. Frequently asked questions This class will cover creating safe intentions, establishing boundaries, diaphragmatic breathing exercises, basic postures, preparing the body, guided meditation, Akashic Ohm and affirmations. What is Meditative Bondage about? This Bondage and Meditation class is not about playing with S&M, Pain or subservience. Meditative Bondage is about facilitating meaningful connection and Akashic Meditation. There is no impact… there is no pain… This method is about being present with ones partner while being in the moment. Is there pain involved? Meditative Bondage is not about playing with S&M, pain or subservience. Meditative Bondage is about meaningful connection and Akashic Meditation. There is no impact… there is no pain… This is about being present. This is about being in the moment. To tie or be tied, that is the question. This class is for both sides of the dynamic. No matter who you are, taking time to connect with the self is essential to both the growth and development of the individual and the dynamic. When both people lose their ego and just be in their raw state, they are able to connect on a human level that few ever get to experience. In our class, the Tops will be trying to attain Mushin, or having a mind that is not fixed or occupied by thoughts or emotions and is thus open to everything. The tops will also try to work within the context of Wu Wei or tying and guiding their bottoms without force. This portion will help the top to not only guide the person’s body into safe consensual positions; it will also help the dominant to ease the sub’s mind into a place where subspace is attainable. The bottoms will work with zazen. The aim of zazen is just sitting—that is, suspending all judgmental thinking and letting words, ideas, images and thoughts pass by without getting involved in them. The bottoms will also be asked to focus on breathing and finding comfort in being still / being present. This state, once attained, is something that can be as essential to a bottom’s play as subspace itself. -- source link
