CHERRY CRUMB PIE If you know me then you know I got the most unhealthy obsession with cherries, I’ve been waiting all year for them to be in season so I could make this. This pie has to be one of my absolute favorite things I’ve ever made, even tho the crust was a bit of a fail lol but it still turned out so freaking amazing, the crust for this was supposed to be a Pâte Brisée which didn’t turned out because one, it’s been way to hot where I live and my butter melted way too quickly and two, because I tried to make it in my food processor instead of a stand mixer (yes, I’m accepting donations for a kitchen-aid ) and that was a bad idea, I ended up with a crust that was more like a shortbread and If I’m being honest Im not mad about that at all! Then I made a buttery crumb mixture which had some ginger in it and it gave this pie some kick. The crumbs bake into the cherry juice and get all soft and jammy and some brown into more of a crunchy streusel top. Love to top this with some plain yogurt I’ve made this yesterday and more than half is already gone, guess I could say it was a total success!
