You said you’d live in my unfinished basement. You said you’d do any chores that I assigned in order to earn your keep. You said you’d serve me and any man I tell you to just for the “opportunity” of being in my presence. So what if I didn’t warn you that I live on a farm. I mean, look at me, who’s fault is it that you didn’t think about that possibility? And yeah, being lower in status than all the men that work here probably came as a nasty shock. I know the younger guys in particular have been bullying you pretty hard, but what would you have me do? They are actual men that actually work here, getting paid with actual money, and have every right to remind you of your inferior status. The truth is there isn’t a man here that would put up with a guy like you without a little bullying. We all grew up giving losers like you wedgies, pantsings, swirlies, and worse. You think what the guys are doing is humiliating now? Just wait until I throw my first staff party. You’re not actually on the staff, so instead you’ll be attending in a much more degrading capacity. Then go on inside and get cleaned up, I expect dinner to be ready in 90 minutes. I know that’s fast, but I’ll be inviting the three guys you just mentioned to eat with us so we can discuss the level of respect I expect in your relationship more thoroughly. They all still live with their parents though, so that means we have to feed them and get them on home. With that in mind I expect you to be helpful and not argumentative. If the discussion doesn’t go well, or there continues to be problems, we’ll have to schedule a respect training seminar for later in the week.
