“Mine.” It’s a word commonly portrayed as being spoken by a Dominant about his submissive. But hardly as often is it seen in reverse. In a D/s relationship, not only does the Dominant claim his submissive, but she, in turn, does the same. She becomes just as possessive of him as he is of her. She clings to him not only physically but emotionally, with the same desire to protect as he has for her. The ownership is established from both sides. It is both beautiful and terrifying to see a submissive become protective of her Dominant. It’s not something one would typically imagine, but I’ve seen it. And experienced it. It almost feels as a reversal of roles. A submissive above her Dominant, poise to take on anything in her path. A goddess, who in any other moment would be found at the feet of her god, stands tall, sword in hand. Those moments are what truly set D/s apart. -- source link
