Anonymous asked you: Hey Piga! My friend has a hellish exam timetable and I fortunately finish before her so I thought I’d put together her a goody basket of study aids and treats. Any ideas as to what baked goods or yummy stuff I can put in? Hi there Anon! I don’t know about you guys, but when exam time come rolling in all I do is bolt down to my desk with books, conviction and…nibbles! There shall be nibbles while studying! I know you’re asking for baked goods, but honestly I’m the wrong person to ask for that, so instead I’m going to give you some recipes for things to do in the oven and other things that are quick, healthy and oh so good. 1. A can or container of matcha green tea powder; green tea in general contains a chemical called L-theanine and It exerts a brain-protective effect. Matcha contains caffeine to help with those sessions of cramming burning the midnight oil. 1 tablespoon in her morning smoothies or milkshake should do it. 2. Kale chips! ; don’t scrunch up your face before you try it. This one’s got nutritional yeast for that nutty, cheesy flavor. 3. Roasted chickpeas: to nibble on while dissecting them books. 4. Sugar-free fruit roll ups: exam time seems to up your need for sweet stuff, I find. 5. Scones, for a good breakfast generally leads to a good day. 6. Her favorite jam or spread to have with the scones. I hope this helps! _________________________________________________________ Meseta asked you: I’d like you to know that you are the only Tumblr that after I stopped using Tumblr I always thought back to. Thank you! That is a compliment indeed :) _________________________________________________________ Anonymous asked you: I’m not a cook by any means, nor do I have a keen interest in food photography. But this blog is beautiful! You really have a gift; I don’t know how you o this while studying Medicine. Thank you for the beautiful pictures your enthusiasm for food creativity has inspired me to cook some of these recipes myself :) There are times when I wonder if running this blog is worth it because sometimes I’m plainly too tired to keep it up. I think you’ve just given me some reasons to keep going, so thank you :) _________________________________________________________ i-nyoom-nyoom asked you: So I made the spaghetti with garlic gravy and chicken and my family couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. After they ate, that is. The table was as quiet as it’s ever been during dinner because everyone was stuffing their faces. You have my eternal gratitude for bringing this recipe to my attention. I’m merely acting as the messenger for that recipe - Jeannie Gust is the mastermind behind it all :D I’m glad you and your family liked it though! -- source link
