The tribulations of growing up with a sister who was a tomboy. How she so hated it that she had to go to ballet lessons, while it was baseball she loved, and it was I, her year younger brother, that was on the baseball team. It was shortly following the start of a new school year, that our parents had already paid for the annual ballet lessons, as well as new baseball equipment, that the unimaginable happened, that not only didn’t I make the baseball team, but my sister did. And as if things couldn’t get any worse, it was I that was facing a year of ballet classes.(the photo above) The horror I felt when placed on my families loving room mantle, for all to see, the traditional set of framed photos. Where this time, to the hysterical delight of my sister, while it was her in one photo, playing in her baseball gear, in the other, it was my turn to experience the humiliation of being made up, and posing daintily in a pretty ballet tutu. -- source link
