Esther Afua Ocloo (1919-2002) was an entrepreneur from Ghana. She was a pioneer of microlending in the country, helping countless businesses with small loans. She also co-founded the non-profit Women’s World Banking in 1976.She worked mainly for the economic empowerment of women, and served in different government roles, such as Adviser to the Council of Women and Development, for that purpose.
