gymncpdie:02.22.21 | I gave myself the goal of finishing my book last week, which was incredibly ambitious of me. I only picked it up once on Monday & then left it cold at the foot of my bed. All of my time was spent on reviewing a year’s worth of course materials. A number of late nights was had to prepare myself for three tests, one of which I took with just four hours of sleep which was not ideal. Last week was brutal, but I got through it & that’s all that matters. I’ve decided to be sensible & content myself with a reading goal of one book per month. The number of books I finish isn’t really a concern of mine, but I do want to always be reading something. On a different note, I’ve been listening nonstop to Salut d’Amour by Edward Elgar. It’s such a beautiful & earnest piece. The story behind it made me love it even more. I’d like to be able to play it one day, although that won’t be happening anytime in the near future. But progress is progress, even small ones. I also found my way to some old favourite study songs, & they’ve really made the long hours so much more bearable.Listening to: Salut d’Amour by Edward Elgar -- source link
