2020.12.28 10:14 MondayI’ve finished a graphic design style “one page” to act as a resume page. It took some doing, and once I had the basic concept of the 145pt lettering complete, the rest of it sort of fell into place. The typeface is Cooper Black, which is a version of the old typeface usually found on 70’s style t-shirt iron on lettering. Back at Brookhaven (where I received my design degree) they told us to never use certain typefaces, and what they were calling “T-Shirt” was one of them. I used it for this project, partly to break the rules, and partly to see If I could make it work. I think I made it work. I crafted a version with a border, and one without. While also being a throwback to 70’s ad design, I think it ties the page together and holds it all in. To me, it works. Here’s the one with the border.Text and Image © Copyright 2018,2020 by Rob Bryan -- source link
