After all, after Mothman, it is easy to argue that the Jersey Devil is the second most well known “contemporary” American cryptidFor those who don’t know the Jersey Devil supposedly lives in the Pine Barrens of South Jersey. In the 1700s a woman named Jane Leeds was pregnant with her 13th child, and frustrated about having to provide for another hungry mouth she cried that the child would be a “devil”.
