tendernessandtiaras: polikupoliku: Janet Mock Last night, my friend posted an article to his twitter, and I, being curious, clicked on the link and decided to read for myself. And there I was, in tears, so inspired, so moved and filled with such warmth. Janet’s story is perhaps not one that we can all relate to first hand, but the point is that Janet tells us a story that is human; human, real, candid, heartfelt and brave. As far as I am concerned, these are qualities that all people should strive to possess. Janet was born a boy on the outside, but a girl on the inside. As you can see in the image above, she is a beautiful, glowing and strong woman. Below is her story; her experience in telling the man she loves that she was born as he was; a boy; but is now and has always truly been a woman. This man loves and embraces Janet for who she is, and I think this is a testament to how we all should live…May we all live in honesty, strength and love within ourselves to accept and be open to surrounding ourselves with those who will always accept us, support us and love us for who we are both inside and out. Janet, you are inspirational. ***Click on the URL below to read Janet’s article: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/janet-mock/transgender-coming-out_b_1146414.html For more on Janet Mock, visit www.Janetmock.com and follow her on Twitter at www.twitter.com/janetmock **** What I love - and what is so important - is how many woman are accepting trans-women as their true sisters. Are holding out their hands in love and support and saying “come and be with us.” -- source link
