Roman Calendar: July 6 - Dies Natalis for the temple of Fortuna MuliebrisGoddess who cared for the well-being and luck of women - especilally married ones. According to Plutarch her temple was erected in honor of Roman women who had persuaded Coriolanus to call off his attack against Rome: The temple was located on Via Latina near the fourth milestone though the precise site is nowadays unknown. Her statue could only be touched by matrons who had been married once and whose husbands were still alive (widows and divorced people brought back luck). It was also claimed that the statue was able to speak. For example Plutarch reports us that after its consecration the statue voiced: “Women of the City, you have dedicated me by the holy law of Rome.” (Cited from: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/fortvnae-mvliebri-to-womanly-fortune.313926/) Coin above:reverse: seated Fortuna Muliebris with a cornucopia.obverse: empress Faustina the Younger, mother of thirteen childen -- source link
