Haven’t drawn anything in a while, so I figured I might flex my calcified finger muscles again
Haven’t drawn anything in a while, so I figured I might flex my calcified finger muscles again! Here are my four main cognitive functions the way I picture them (super simplified, ofc): Ti - Ti is constantly analysing everything, eating through the world with a mind like hungry flames. It burns through inconsistencies, through disrupted patterns and surfaces without any substance and that which remains must be the truth…for now. In time, Ti learns to control the flames to a certain degree and they can be used more consciously, held at a simmer or flare up in curiosity. The latter can be kind of scary to witness. The world is dark to Ti until it has been lit up by understanding.Ti is a mostly benevolent ruler that likes to know its realm, the good and the bad and works tirelessly to improve the latter. But it reigns supreme and when it gets stuck in a problem, the whole world freezes and waits for clarity to return.Ne - Ne offers the pathways on which Ti can spread out small or big fires. Constantly exploring, Ne zig-zags around like lightning, following multiple ideas and being in multiple places at the same time. Ne keeps Ti moving, fed and happy and is just here for a good time.Ne loves to entertain, to joke, to wonder and to create, but it also has a tendency for getting off-course and Ti often needs to keep it on track to achieve progress in their wanderings.Si - Si keeps the brain in order, organising the artefacts the others find on their travels. In a huge library of water ponds, water falls, rivers and oceans, Si knows where most things are kept and can find them for Ti. Some of the libaries are unexplored or forgotten or waiting, but most are filled with facts, ideas and emotions. Sometimes Si gets a little lost reminiscing and re- and re-thinking and re- and re-ordering with Ti and Ne needs to drag them back out to the surface. Fe - Fe is a little in awe of all the others, but has no idea how much in awe they are of Fe. Fe is kind, loves people and harmony and achieving great feats together. When Fe was younger, other people often seemed alien and even though Ti, Ne and Si did their best to explain human behaviour to Fe, their theories were mostly wrong. Fe fell and fell and fell and got up again, determined to be kind and just and good. Through Fe’s determination the others now have a working model of humankind. Fe has learnt to fly with the winds and yet stay true to its course. -- source link
