magicalhometoursandstuff:Caleb and the Roamer- Caleb took this yellow school bus and totally transformed it. Just an ordinary old bus- he bought it for $3,000 last year, and had a $10,000 budget. It looks so narrow like this, I can’t believe what it looks like, now. Now, it’s looking a little bigger. This is Ivy.Look at it now, though. Interestingly, Caleb’s inspiration came from studying sailboat interiors, which have similar dimensions, are designed to accommodate regular movement, and often use natural materials to make the craft feel traditional and homey. He bought a semi-truck bed butcher block on Facebook Marketplace to use as kitchen counters. Who’d have thought? After planning, sanding, staining, and sealing it, the counters offer a vibrant natural texture to the front of the bus and set the tone for the rest of the home.He doesn’t advise buying anything new, unless you have to. Besides studying architecture and landscape, he’s also a musician and has left plenty of room for his keyboard.I love the pipe grid lighting over the bed. There are instructions on how to make it, on his Instagram page. And, look at the garden where he grows his own veggies on top of the roof.Look at The Roamer all decked out for Xmas. The only question I have is, where do you where do park it, if you’re a student like Caleb and living local? https://www.instagram.com/roamerbus/ -- source link
