That didn’t even happen.This part at the end was so sad and heartbreaking and also disturbing, especially after you think about how much she’s been accused of being selfish and self-abosrbed when she’s just being young. Ugh I’m so torn about this film because Laura Dern was so great in it and it does so many things right particularly its depiction of teenage sexuality but then, the end feels like she’s punished or that she’s blamed, at least, for what happened to her. And I also don’t get why it ended with her like making up with her family and dancing with her sister and shit… idk the messaging kind of confused me. -- source link
