charaah:kh-info-block:Literally why are they like this.I used to sneer at the Play Arts figures for being overpriced, but at least they had an audience.$200 for a figure is a lot, but it’s something someone could feasibly buy as, like, a treat or something. Not me, but, you know, someone.Who the fuck is out there, spending $600 on one fucking Kingdom Hearts cup?I might even be willing to grant that $600 is a fair price for the level of craft here. I don’t know enough about artisanal cups to confirm or deny, but I could fucking imagine it.But how do we have all of this and next to no actual, reasonable merch?Who are these for?- Mod A. Why is the chess set unplayable? Not enough squares on the board? Novelty chess sets aren’t that uncommon Not enough squares + the squares that are there are laid out the wrong way + every game piece is unique, instead of each side having x number of pawns, y number of rooks, etc. etc. etc. etc.None of this matters when you’re watching Xehanort and Eraqus play the game on-screen. We understand that they’re playing a strategic war game like chess, even if it can’t technically function as chess. But it means this piece of real-world merch can only be a display piece. You can never actually play it, because it has no rules.- Mod A. -- source link
