Katie’s Kindly Book Reviews: I know my 2017 hasn’t started well. New Year&rs
Katie’s Kindly Book Reviews: I know my 2017 hasn’t started well. New Year’s Eve I was up all night sick to my stomach, haven’t been able to eat barely anything in the couple days since, and haven’t been able to sleep at night. So I can partly blame that for the emotional breakdown this book caused me to have at 5 am as I crawled back into bed after reading on the couch and just cried and cried while poor Jamie tried to calm me down. The book centres on two people in their late fifties who’ve been together, in a way, for 22 years and the love they have for each other and what happens to them just broke me. I was afraid of becoming them but also not becoming them. It’s beautiful and infuriating. It’s unfair and typically accurate. I would recommend this book for those two characters, as they made much more of an impact on me then the other two who changed their lives in the book. #katieskindlybookreviews2017 -- source link
