jlullaby-stuff: SHADBASE | TWITTER | PATREON The Ring with a hint of the Grudge/Ju on in there! I was curious on what stylization I wanted to do this in since I’ve been thinking about drawing her for a while now but I thought the “refined sketch” stylization would best fit for the whole decrepit, grunge look. Second to last pose was pretty much a pose that “LMsketch (Legoman)” did since I love their use of making voluptuous characters go in interesting positions/angles, and the last pose was was derived from the artist “Saitomo” who tends to draw these beautifully decorated figures in an “instant loss2koma” setting. Some situations darker than others but definitely a great artist. For the backgrounds, I took the inspiration from a SFW artist by the name of “Tohdraws” or his other alias “Tohdaryl”. They have a beautiful sense of color and incorporating them in striking mood and dramatic lighting and I wanted to imitate/emulate that within the backgrounds. I used a mix of texture and smeared brush strokes than the usual refinement to make more colors identifiable. I hope to get to his level one day in sense of mood, lighting, and colors, he does absolutely gorgeous work. Anyway, that is all I can note on in this piece, I hope you all like! -- source link
