ruthbancroftgarden: Acacia podalyriifolia Australia has an incredible assortment of Acacia species, some of which have become invasive in California. This is not the case with Acacia podalyriifolia, known as the Pearl Acacia and native to inland areas of Queensland and New South Wales. It bursts into bloom in winter, as do quite a few other Australian acacias, with many yellow puff-ball flowers which are sweetly scented. Even when not in flower, its pale bluish-white leaves make it very attractive. It is a small tree reaching a height of 12 to 20 feet (3.7 to 6 m). -Brian -- source link
