floatslikebricks:shortonegaming:Hey all, being candid for a moment. We really love our DNDMajor podcast series - transparently, it’s the thing we work hardest on and that takes the most time and labor to produce - but it never found its audience, and we’re considering putting it to rest. If you don’t want us to stop working on the show, we’d really like to hear from you - and it would mean the world to us if you could share the show with your friends or check it out if you haven’t gotten to yet. Regardless of the future of DNDMajor, it has been a pleasure bringing these characters and this world to life. I want to thank those that have sent us their feelings about this, whether they be supportive, sad, sincere or anywhere in-between. Working on DNDMajor has been a roller coaster for me. I love, love, love the show we’ve made, from recording with this delightful cast of my friends to collaborating on art with Allison to hearing Jake bring the audio to life with his music. I learned a lot from it, too - it greatly improved my confidence around audio and video editing and as a DM. In the lead up to posting an episode each month, we’d get so excited over this strange thing we were creating. But sharing DNDM has been really hard on me, honestly. It took weeks of work to wrangle each episode into shape, and we never figured out how to promote the show. It got devastatingly low engagement, and while I hate that word, it was hard sometimes to figure out who we were making the show for. For a long time it was for us - the idea of having the complete work that we could share from here on out - but it stopped making me happy.I don’t necessarily think this is the end of the show - it might be nice to finish out the season at some point and let the story and characters breathe the way they were meant to - but I personally need a bit of time. If people find the show in the mean time, I dearly hope they enjoy it and can feel all the love we poured into it. I love that world. We’ve been building it for years. And i hope it brings people some happiness. -- source link
