Stella reviews augustburnsred-rpg First Impressions: It looks like some kind of murder mystery, or maybe supernatural thing. I don’t think I’ve seen the theme before, and that’s nice. But something’s sort of itching me about the way it looks, I’m not sure yet. I’ll just try to find it when I take a closer look later on in the review. But I like it. The graphics are nice, and obviously have a lot of effort put into them. Appearance: I like the dark color scheme. It gives me a sort of “evil” vibe, and the title also adds a sense of foreboding. Why is August burning? Why red? Has someone been murdered? The sidebar has a very sinister appearance, and You’ve really gone the extra mile by making the background more than just a giant field of black. I like the theme a lot, and can’t find anything to critique on it. Structure: The theme you have chosen has a very convenient number of links, and that makes it easy to get around. I was able to easily find my way to the plot through the navigation, and after reading it, and– woah. I am a big fan of Alice In Wonderland-centric plots, and you blew this one out of the water. Right when I thought I knew what to expect, you took it somewhere different. I’m actually very impressed with the originality of this one, and my only suggestion is trying to cut down the length a bit, as it seemed a bit intimidating when I went to read it. But I love the plot very much, and I’m sure all of us can relate to rivalries between siblings. I’ve never seen a plot exactly like this, and applaud you for that, and find the only issue is the length of it. After the plot, I traipsed into your bios, and nearly keeled over. I read about four of them, and each of them were long and eloquent, giving lots of details about the characters, and making sure to supply how they felt and what they did about it. However, there were a few typos, such as mistakes with “its” and “it’s”, and although not everyone would notice that, I did, so I can and will point it out. But other than that, I’m in love with the way they are written! Mechanics: I don’t know how many admins run this, but let’s say there’s one. And if so, I have been blown. Away. Your way of handling anons, of constantly updating things, of constant self-improvement, is nearly dream-like. You are a hard worker and have put a lot of effort into this RP, which is blatantly obvious in the best ways. I am in love with your graphics, and you obviously have a knack for originality. You’re devoted and serious, and that’s all I could ask for out of you. However, I went two or three pages in, and seriously suggest not using gifs in your admin posts, but that is more of a personal thing than an actual critique. Outside of that, however, I am very proud of what you’ve done, and hope you become vastly popular! -- source link
