Yup, I’m donating June’s profit from the sales of my book Cosplay in America V2 to Feeding America, a non-profit with over 200 food banks within their network. Look the last few years have been tough for foods, really tough When I saw the long lines at food banks on Twitter, I wanted to help out in some way.Back in 2013 I volunteer at a regional food bak in Los Angeles on Saturdays. It was 3 hours, you help packed food to be shipped to different programs. I started doing this with my friend Edward who started doing this because his father volunteered. When I moved back to Texas the plan was to start volunteering again but the pandemic came about.I had boxes of books and no artist alley table to sell at so I figured I could raised some funds this way. I picked Feeding America because they were a national organization and can help more than just one local community. Cosplay in America V2 is my attempt to document the cosplay culture by visiting 20 cities over the course of three years. This was a passion project was bought to life by Y'ALL who donated to the Kickstarter. I couldn’t do it without the support of the community. Honestly, Cosplay in America is nothing without y'all out there…If you like to purchase the book, it is $40+ shipping and I’ll signed the book. https://ko-fi.com/s/6381ff29fb%E2%80%AC -- source link
