jackalgirl: ms-demeanor:If you can’t go to protests for any reason (and there are lots of reasons it’s difficult to go to protests!) you can volunteer to babysit your friend’s phones at your house and to periodically make calls, send texts, or post to social media from your friend’s phones. At your home. Far away from the protest. I also strongly recommend just leaving your phone at home sometimes generally. If you always bring your phone with you everywhere it’s extremely suspicious if you go out to do a thing and don’t bring your phone. If you sometimes leave your phone at home when you go to a theme park or go grocery shopping or go to work or school, well, that’s just a thing you do sometimes because you don’t want the phone to dictate your life. Good gouge. Also, if you’d like to be able to take pics and/or record stuff, be aware that there is still a fair amount of technology out there that doesn’t connect to anything (e.g., analog SLR cameras, tape recorders, etc). Pros: no SIGINT. Cons: the stuff you record isn’t automatically uploaded to the cloud, so you will have to protect your gear against seizure.I really like the idea of swapping phones around and creating a really confusing trail, though. That’s genius! -- source link
