We pirates might have a reputation for immorality and violence, but our lawless existence guarantees the democracy of our individual crews! Kishishishi! Any captain who loses the trust of his crew or makes them feel disposable dies by their hands! If I did something that barbaric to an enemy, it wouldn’t do anything to make my living followers feel comfortable around me. I’ve spent my whole career cultivating a trusting relationship with the crews that I’ve led, and for a really important reason!My face doesn’t inspire much in the way of ‘trust’.
