Xochiquetzal (pronounced ‘Show-chee-ket-zal’) was the goddess of fertility, sexuality, pregnancy, and traditional female handicrafts such as weaving in Aztec mythology. She was also heavily associated with the moon, the various lunar phases and came from Tamoanchán, the verdant paradise of the west. Originally the wife of Tlaloc (god of the rain) she was abducted for her beauty by Tezcatlipoca (god of the night), who enthroned her as the goddess of love. In some areas, Xochiquetzal was also identified as Chalchiuhtlicue, the goddess of fresh water.(Zuhair Murad Spring 2018 Haute Couture Collection) -- source link
