bbycas:pls tell me im not the only one hahaha! Wow. Or I remember my mom turning to me one night, a look of annoyance on her face, and asking wee teen me, “Do you think you’re *depressed*?” To which I replied an upset and embarrassed, “I don’t know!” because I knew as shit I was, but I was afraid she’d mock me for it (it wouldn’t shock anyone if she had). And…she… never bothered taking me to a professional? To get a straight answer?? Like…could we have fucking done that? Please? Instead keep berating your “lazy” daughter, that’ll surely help things. Get fucked mom. I’m 30 fucking seven and finally got the gall to demand something for my depression. Also my therapist agreed that it’s ok to not feel love for a parent. Just because you’re blood related (or that you’re their crotch goblin), doesn’t mean you have to love them. That’s a bullshit notion that often leads to emotionally abusive relationships.(doing much better now, thanks!) -- source link
