Simone’s room looked out over the courtyard of Roissy.  She was supposed to be an honoured guest, but felt more like a prisoner.Simone’s window’s were barred and her door was locked.  She felt a true prisoner rather than a guest.Simone’s door was of sturdy oak.  It locked from the outside but had no door handle or keyhole on the inside.  Simone was told this was for her own protection, but all the masters and valets at Roissy had keys and she did not.  She was a prisoner. -- source link
