“Two Men with a Problem” by Paul Vathis In April 1961 President John F. Kennedy and former President Dwight D. Eisenhower were at the presidential mountain retreat of Camp David in Maryland. It was during the Cuban Crisis, the disastrous Bay of Pigs invasion was generating fallout worldwide and Americans were questioning Kennedy’s ability to lead. This was the first photograph to win the Pulitzer (in 1962) with the subjects’ backs to de camera. -- source link
