In the late 18th century, we partnered with the city of Atlantis to protect them from human pirates and bolster their own marauding bands of sirens and nymphs.In appreciation, and to shorten the commute between locations, the rulers of Atlantis built a portal linking our respective communities.The portal linking to the Undersea Library is an ankle-deep pool situated behind the Peyroux Public Phantasmal Library’s main building, and is accessible any time of day or night. As you walk towards the center of the pool, the transport activates automatically.Mermaid’s Breath potions are available at our Circulation Desk, allowing non-aquatic patrons to explore for as long as they like (it is imperative you drink the potion before traveling to the Undersea). Your Peyroux Library Card allows you to borrow up to 13 of their books at time.Book clubs meet on the first Friday of every month, please see our Circulation Desk for copies of the latest selection and extended Breath potions if you are interested.Gatherings in the Undersea are held in The Great Trench — a massive cavern serving as a meeting room. Such a large structure allows participants of mind-boggling size to join the discussion — an important note when accommodating creatures ranging from ship-sinking kraken to palm-sized octopuses.Necromancers are advised to make a trip to visit the Undersea, as their collection of books and scrolls on aquatic ghosts and zombies is unparalleled. Free workshops are held every solstice and equinox.On this note, ghostly sailors in good standing with the sea are welcome to explore the shipwrecks the Undersea Library holds. While special arrangements need be made, such as inspections to prove your ability to captain, sailors are welcome to check out a wretched boat for their own exploits.
