Photo from the end of training yesterday. One of my favorite rashguards. :)I didn’t finish the triangle; he successfully hid his arm and I transitioned into an omoplata and attempted to sweep from there, which devolved into a scramble.Overall, that day of training was tough for me mentally. I felt frustrated that I couldn’t understand all of the mechanics of the nogi berimbolo. I had good rounds with some fellow blue belts and got a guillotine on my training buddy, but mentally, I fixated on what I did wrong: getting to closed guard and finding no subs or sweeps for four minutes; getting berimbolo’d repeatedly; making wrong moves in scrambles. Some training days are just like that and I think it’s a good thing to recognize that feeling frustrated is the first step toward improving. Action shots where I look cool are awesome. Seeing this one definitely lifted my mood. But my favorite part of BJJ isn’t hitting moves perfectly. It’s constantly trying to do something better. -- source link
