I am an abortion counselor and have been for 3 years. 7 months ago I gave birth to my first child. During my pregnancy I had so many patients and even friends make comments about me being pregnant. “How ironic to work at an abortion clinic and be pregnant!” Or “I don’t want the pregnant lady to counsel me.” When I heard these comments, it was hurtful and frustrating, but I took it as an opportunity to educate those around me. Being Pro Choice is about being able to decide IF and WHEN you want to be a parent. I am choosing at this time in my life to be a parent. There was a time in my life when I decided it wasn’t the best time for me to have a child. I’m so glad I had the choice and was trusted to make the best decision for myself and for my future family.Jen -- source link
