Cis people aren’t getting as much attention right now - but that doesn’t mean we should ignore their important issues and herstories! Did you know that cisgender people are relatively new? They only emerged in 1994 when cis biologist Dana Leland Defosse coined “cisgender” in contrast with normal people.I know it may be weird for some of you to understand identifying as one’s sex assigned at birth. However, they deserve rights, too! Some speculate cisgender identity is the result of biology. Others think it’s psychological.
