My trip turned into a 31 mile hike. It was great to get out into the mountains and spend the night, despite the terrible mosquitos. I hiked through dense forest, saw some spectacular waterfalls, climbed over and under burned trees while hiking through a large burn area, and cross some of the straggling snow patches that were still left after our winter.
