anti-feminism-pro-cats: effcustomers: Any food that doesn’t get sold at the end of the day has to be thrown out. It doesn’t matter if it’s still in the unopened wrapper, it has to be thrown out. If we take any of it home, any of what has now become garbage, it’s considered stealing from the store. We can’t give any of it away to the homeless either, because the food is considered expired, despite the fact that it all stays fresh well past the required two-day expiration date. This is a very forward-thinking company, except when it isn’t. What? That food is suppose to be donated! Tell a higher up about this, because when I worked there I was told all stores donated the pastries that weren’t sold. Some pastries do get donated, but more get thrown out. All the breakfast and lunch sandwiches, the salads, and the lunch plates get thrown out too. How long ago did you work there, because they might’ve changed that rule if it was long enough. -- source link
