roadsidepeek: One is the loneliest number. Originally known as the Canyon Padre Trading Post the Twin Arrows Trading Post has been around since the late 1940s. Over the years the tourist trap has been home to a gas station, diner and gift shop… and it’s iconic twin wooden arrows parallel to each other in the ground. The interstate bypass took its toll on the roadside attraction and the place closed down in the late 90s. These days graffiti, the Arizona sun and the winds of time has beaten down on Twin Arrows which is down to a lone standing arrow.
