Working on some headworld stuff, among other things.Mostly trying to organize, translate and reunite all my notes/drawings into one document, it’s going to take some time.Anyway, this is the sand goddess, mother of all worms.Just like regular sand worms/sand dragons, she can flatten her body like a ribbon-like shape and use the hot air currents to glide accross distances if needed, although they usually move underneath the sand. As a deity, she doesn’t need to eat, but regular worms, which are smaller sized than her, sustain themselves by hunting sand wyverns and other big enough desert fauna. They can stay for months without eating as long as they don’t move around and spend their energy too much. Some people had reported seeing sand dragons springing out of the dunes to catch a wyvern midflight, which certainly contributed to the infamously very dangerous reputation of the desert in question. -- source link
