Sagrada Familia ～ Barcelona The unfinished church, under construction for the last 132 years and still not complete. It relies heavily on the donations from people and has done since work began on 19th March 1882. Antoni Gaudi undertook the project in 1883 and worked on it for the rest of his life until he died on 10th June 1926, 3 days after he was hit by a tram. His remains are held in the La Sagrada Famila to this day. Gaudi lived to see the completion of only 1 of the 8 existing bell towers. According to the plans, there are a further 10 towers still to be built before it’s completion. An absolute beauty to behold, even half complete! -- source link
