9️⃣5️⃣ ~ Building on last wk - I have purposefully reduced the work:joy ratio & was immediately answered with mental health improvement. 2 things added to my plate late in the wk tho - interventions start w/ the 1st subject in the study I’m interning on, meeting 3x/wk @ their workplace to run them through a BFR circuit w/ bands. I’m meeting the lead student through the wk to do it together but expecting we’ll need to go solo as more start their interventions. Also apparently creating & giving an abstract prez for this study in April at a campus event for senior undergrad research/projects, & the app is due in a couple wks. My - I’ll just call them supervisors (the 2 main exsci profs overseeing my internship, 1 being my overall sup for everything I’m doing incl my job) - p much made it clear they think I will dominate compared to what other people do for these It’s becoming clear that I’m finally playing hardball now w/ someone who is completely bought into engaging with me & throwing back Now I’m identifying a psychological struggle where I’m having visceral neg reactions to what I perceive as demands & tasks. & I am seeing that I need to override that conditioned response & use the conscious understanding that this is MEANINGFUL demand that I’m ASKING FOR as a part of pursuing what I want to do. So that’s the current mind project. This will need to layer w/ the work:life balance project - need to keep actively protecting & maintaining the turbo so it can give its best output in the slivers of time I let it, even if that means enduring feels of guilt/less worth until I shed that conditioning. no one: [cares] ~ Anyway nothing is decided yet but we *may* choose a diff squat pattern mvmt soon if I can get something to accommodate my fetal proportions…..
