deadstrangeblog: If you’re a true crime buff, you’re likely to have heard of students killing their teachers in high school massacres (see Columbine and Barry Loukaitis), but have you ever heard of a teacher killing a student? In 2005, that’s exactly what happened in Uji, Japan. Yu Hagino was a young teacher who worked hard at his job in a prominent private school. One day, Hagino found out that he would no longer be teaching 12-year-old Sayano Horimoto, after her parents criticized his teaching methods and pulled her out the class. The family had also mocked his appearance and, reportedly, spread rumours about his sexuality. Upon this discovery, Hagino felt hurt and bought two kitchen knives and a hammer. On the 10th of December, Hagino managed to take Horimoto out of her exam and get her alone. He locked the frightened girl in a room with him and began his brutal revenge: First, he tried to hit her with the hammer, but he was too weak and couldn’t hit her hard enough. When that failed, he used one of the 1 ft. long knives long to stab the schoolgirl 13 times in the chest, neck, and face. After the murder, he called his father and calmly admitted to killing her.The warped teacher was initially given 18 years for the crime, but his sentence was reduced to just 15 years due to diminished capacity. -- source link
