acepainter: AceOil On PaperThis is my earliest painting on the subject of asexuality. I wasn’t out about the subject when I made it, so it was created as part of an internal dialogue with myself.It seems quite forward thinking to have designed a wee grey and purple flag in the background, especially as this was painted in 1989. Maybe those colours are in our DNA. That is a strange coincidence, the part about the flag. It would be nice if there was more asexual art, though I’m also not sure what that would look like. I really appreciate your stories about realizing you were asexual prior to the widespread availability of the internet, it is difficult to find accounts like that. -- source link
