I upgraded my camera by one generation in order to be able to use focus bracketing/stacking, which yields more depth of field at long focal distances. I’d like to use it especially for insect photography, and we tested the feature yesterday at the river. We saw the usual heaps of banded demoiselles, broad-bodied chasers, large red damselflies and even emperor dragonflies. The big ones wouldn’t land for even a second so it wasn’t easy to get a shot of them, but we made several focus stacks for the banded demoiselles :) The blue ones are males and the brown female was laying eggs. -- source link
