bogleech: I was up late last night working on “gen one pokemon style” greyscale pixel sprites and it informed a dream I had in which the next actual generation of pokemon went straight back to gameboy looking sprites, but even I was confused as to why the pokemon were getting so abstract and sometimes feeling unfinished.I remember with crystal clarity this evolution line, even the cross hatching on the first thing that kind of reminded me of grilled burger patties.And I remember the last one’s pokedex entry stating that this pokemon was not believed to be alive, because, and this is a quote, “it has no tongue to flick from its opening.” The wording on that dex entry feels really tragic to me… someone please knit her a tongue to flick :( -- source link
