:Katrina had the best job in the world! She was the regional head of diaper testing at Huggies. The bulk of her daily routine was devoted to checking out the competition. Pampers still had a larger consumer base, but Huggies diaper sales were slowly catching up. To close the gap Huggies executives were very interested in keeping up with their contemporaries. Katrina stretched out the new Pamper’s Xtra Dry teen diaper that had just hit stores. Marketed for teen girls 13-16, it boasted a higher absorbency than any other baby style diaper on the market. It could apparently handle a 750ml “accident.” Katrina measured the diaper’s thickness and stretching capability. She noticed that the leak guards were larger and triple stitched. Another factor Katrina looked for in studying new diapers was the aesthetic appeal. Girls from this age group and older were tricky to make appealing diaper designs for. They were too old for outright babyish designs like stuffed bears and bright pink, but they also responded positively towards (formerly) preschool aesthetics. Phrases like “good little girl” and designs with butterflies and princesses were in demand. This diaper had it all, Katrina had to admit. It even made her nostalgic for wearing pull-ups a couple years ago before she graduated to real diapers.Every night, Katrina has homework to do. After she spends a couple hours in the office, drinking coffee with laxative laced milk, and recording the physical aspects of new diapers, Katrina goes home to test them out. It’s not easy work. She must wear each diaper until it leaks and she tests four different diapers a day, sometimes five! But, Katrina wouldn’t ever wish for a different career for herself. Getting paid to make messes in your diapers is pretty sweet. Just then a burst of hot pee shot into the front of Kat’s diaper.“I might get to try that Pamper sooner than I thought.” -- source link
