lorna-ka:A few pics of those matryoshka dolls I gave to Dave Filoni at SWCE and the process of painting them. Some of those pic were taken before I coated them and the paints ran away.. ruining some of the finer details and coloring ): you can see it on the pictures if you look closely. Sorry about the crappy photo quality, there was so little time for me to work on that project, I had to take these basically on the run x) I finished coloring these with watercolors and copic markers the night before my flight to London, and I coated them the next morning just a few hours before I had to go to the airport. When I saw what the coating (a special one for watercolors that I was assured wouldn’t harm copics or ink) did to the paints (for example, half of Vader’s face was basically gone, same with the smallest Filoni doll) I thought everything was lost, days and nights of work, and I s2g I went through five stages of grief. But since I still had to pack for London, I didn’t have the time for a nervous breakdown and just threw the half-ruined thing into my suitcase in hopes that I’d be able to fix it later somehow. And, oh joy, I was able to do it with a simple white gel pen the night before Celebration in the hostel room in London. In the end, it was not perfect, but still presentable, and I guess Dave liked it? :D -- source link
