I had the opportunity to photograph these majestic beasts last weekend with close friends. I felt so small next to them; it’s easy to be scared & also in total awe at the same time. Bison are the largest mammal in North America, as you can see. Male bison can weigh up to 2,000 pounds & stand 6 feet tall! Their average lifespan is 10-20 years old There’s something so special & sacred about these creatures.
