I want to confess that this is not a scene in the book, but it was one of my favorite parts of the Jane Seymour adaptation (also starring a young Ian McKellan HELLO). If you don’t know the story or have ever seen the films, this story is just chalked full of all the things that make me WEAK: history! strong woman! devoted couple! misunderstandings and secrets! clever outsmarting of authorities! Also, Percy and Sherlock share an affinity for disguises, so…I don’t often point out the details of my drawings, but I love these so much I couldn’t help myself (not sure anyone cares).
