Do you see the purple in the Purplish Jay (Cyanocorax cyanomelas)? Named for the tint of color in its plumage, this bird lives in parts of South America, including Peru and Bolivia, where it lives in forests and hangs out in a family group of up to eight individuals. It munches on fruit and invertebrates and will occasionally scavenge carrion.
