15 year old Aswan was preparing her school bag getting ready for school early one morning while her mother and grandfather were in the kitchen waiting for her to have her breakfast, when suddenly a bomb exploded in their kitchen. Aswan lost her legs, her mother suffered a life changing injury, loosing one of her eyes and her grandfather later passed away. Aswan is receiving Unicef support from a prosthesis centre. She has two prosthesis and is receiving physiotherapy as well as psychosocial support. Every child has a right to live in a safe environment.
