lawyerd: Countdown to the Massachusetts Bar Exam: 93 Days Alright, I’ve started bar prep for real now. I’m back at my apartment from my parent’s house and some extremely remote woods camping. I’ve made my study playlists, I’ve organized my study notebooks, I’ve sat down and opened and actually engaged with Barbri and have a plan to continue to do so for the next three months. Today I continued the Barbri intro materials I started last week, the MBE overview lectures for each subject. I fast-forwarded through some, watched some on 1.5/2x speed, so I finished 7.1 hours worth of videos today, although I only worked from 10-4:30 with an hour break in the middle. I mentioned in my last post in this series that I was thinking of skipping these lectures and I talked myself out of that, rationalizing that I have the time, I should watch everything. Well, I regret that. I took a Bar Strategies course in Winter that covered the same material, so these lectures taught me genuinely nothing new. I suppose it’s good to ease into things, but I can’t help feeling like I’ve missed a day. Tomorrow I start on substantive lectures with my favorite, Torts. I was a Torts TA for two years in Law School, so I know a good amount of the material already, although my professor focused almost entirely on negligence and intentional torts, so all other tort material is fairly new to me. Kind of excited to dive into substantive learning again - feels kind of like the first day of school! -- source link
