Being a new age man, a boy, a husband, a boyfriend is so simple and easy. All that is expected of you is that you’re pleasing and happy. Smile a lot and be bubbly. Talk softly and in a pleasing manner. No one likes a loud, booming voice. Laugh at my jokes even if you don’t understand them. Keep my dinner warm and my drinks cold. Always ask yourself what else you could do to make my life more enjoyable and carefree. Don’t be a asshole even if you feel tired and worn out from your chores and your domestic duties. Don’t nag or complain. Dig deep and find that extra strength within to make me the centre of your attention even if all you feel like is to close the door and go to sleep. Never argue or talk back. If you disagree with something make suggestions but never push it. Be grateful and show appreciation and remember a “thank you” can never be said too often. Likewise saying “I’m sorry” one time too many is better than never at all, even if you’re not sure what it is you do or say that might cause me displeasure. Better safe than sorry. If I’m not happy, or explode, or say mean and nasty things to you remember you’re the cause of it; it’s your fault, even if it might not seem so at first. You might not understand but you don’t have to. All you have to remember is that it’s your fault and try to better yourself, to improve.
